Amy Barton is a REALTOR® on the Maverick Team at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hudson Valley Properties, serving Woodstock, Kingston, Saugerties, New Paltz, and the wider Hudson Valley and Catskills region. Born and raised in New Paltz, Amy grew up hiking the Shawangunks and swimming in the creeks and waterfalls that make this corner of New York a dream destination - and today she lives surrounded by the Catskills, helping others find their own way here.

After earning her B.A. in English, she spent two years with AmeriCorps NCCC, traveling the country in service and aiding in disaster relief efforts after Hurricanes Ivan, Katrina, and Rita. She helped manage a Red Cross shelter for displaced families, salvaged materials in New Orleans as the city rebuilt, and stood beside homeowners seeing what remained of their houses for the very first time. In the years that followed, Amy worked as a therapist for children and adults on the autism spectrum - work that taught her patience, deep listening, and how to advocate fiercely for the people in her care. All of it - along with her own personal experiences of buying and selling - shaped her conviction that home is one of our most fundamental human needs, and that real estate is never just a transaction.

Today Amy works with buyers and sellers across Ulster County and the surrounding region, including Dutchess and Greene counties: first-time buyers, families and individuals relocating from New York City to upstate New York, second-home seekers, and longtime Hudson Valley residents preparing to sell. Known for her patience and her listen-first approach, she will always put a client's needs before the deal. When she's not working, you'll find her reading, writing, carving stamps and creating handmade stationery, experimenting with printmaking, walking in nature, and chasing live music throughout the Hudson Valley.
